TouchNetix continually monitors the potential suppliers of touchscreen components and partners with only the most capable touchscreen sensor and IC manufacturers and fabricators which have the ability to manufacture to TouchNetix high quality and performance standards. In this way, TouchNetix is able to provide truly world class products which behave flawlessly in Industrial applications.
Independent supply chain
TouchNetix is the only truly independent full-service supplier of capacitive touchscreens in Europe. Other suppliers are typically tied to a specific IC supplier or sensor manufacturer or to an LCD vendor.
The leading edge IC suppliers only work directly with end customers who have high volume requirements, as their business model is to sell the IC in high volumes to generate a sustainable business. Because of this, they have a limited capability to support lower volume customers.
Sensor vendors can typically fabricate capacitive touchscreens on a build-to-print basis but have no design or support capabilities, particularly outside of Asia.
LCD vendors usually have a standard consumer grade touchscreen integrated with their displays and typically provide no support to the end user for integration with the final product.

Track record of innovation
The founders of TouchNetix have delivered innovative capacitive touch solutions since the early 2000’s. Products which were delivered to market in that era included inductive cooktops, bluetooth headsets, office phones, industrial process controls and automotive keyless entry systems. Each of these early applications was challenging to implement and helped to increased the knowledge base of the best way to deliver the most robust capacitive touch solutions.
All of this knowledge was put to good use when the first multi-touch capacitive touchscreen solutions were brought to market by the TouchNetix founders who at the time were the management team for the Touch Products Group at Atmel Corp (which acquired Quantum Research Group in 2008).
Although capacitive touchscreens for consumer applications have commoditised to some extent, TouchNetix, the independent touchscreen leader, continues to innovate for the more demanding applications by improving tolerance to noise, the ability to ‘ignore’ water and fluids on the surface, improved passive stylus performance and the addition of new features to discriminate between intentional and accidental touch behaviour.
