WHITE GOODS
Touchscreen controls are highly desirable for home appliances. A touchscreen can be built into a refrigerator, wall oven or other appliance, without impacting the industrial design, resulting in a seamless appearance. As well as the aesthetic appeal, other advantages in this type of interface over traditional controls are that they are easy to clean and the lack of moving parts improves the reliability of the product.
The team at TouchNetix has many years of experience working with leading appliance manufacturers and are experts in integrating touchscreens into products where they may be exposed to the challenging environments such as those found in cooking equipment.

ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY (EMC)
Electromagnetic interference (EMI) can seriously affect the performance of a projected capacitive touchscreen and this is particularly an issue in the electrically harsh surroundings of home appliance products. TouchNetix have unrivalled expertise in this area and design touchscreens to ensure that they comply with the EN61000 4-6 Class A EMC specification.

MOISTURE
Another critical requirement for a home appliance touchscreen is that they must be able to tolerate moisture on the touchscreen, whether as a result of condensation, spillage or simply wiping the screen with a damp cloth. Inferior touchscreen products fail when water droplets are present as they are detected as false touches and can then change the settings on a device. TouchNetix solutions are designed to detect and reject these false inputs, only responding to valid touches on the screen.
THE TOUCHNETIX RANGE
For quick time to market TouchNetix offer standard industrial grade products. The Brilliance family includes a range of touchscreens up to 10.4” in diagonal and the Luminance family with touchscreens up to 21.5”. TouchNetix will also develop custom products to meet specific requirements.
